Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 70s. Lennox lived on a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her funds. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different direction she would take. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. The group didn't appear on the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. She sang lead in The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo first album Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album debuted in the month of October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let you go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first self-released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is a Scottish political activist and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox launched a solo career with their debut record Diva with a variety of successful tracks, including Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album that was released in 1995 features the versions of a few of her biggest hits, such as No MoreI Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Her solo albums include six studio albums and compilation albums. |
